Desert Dave's Family Update

My deskDave landed himself a government job.  Not the slacking, goof off, cake walk, stereotypical government job.  Somehow he found a stressful, lots of hours, high pressure and a heart surgery, government job.  He's looking forward to the start of the auto racing season.  Overall life is good and optimism rules.

Always the good heart Lauren is well on her way to becoming a young adult.  She and Liz frequently have long girls only discussions.  Lou is doing great in school despite Mr. Whizbanger's attempt to bury her with homework.  In her spare time she plays video and computer games.  She still finds time to go fishing with the old man on occasion.

Big man on campusAdam is a college man this year.  He's taken his firsts steps towards independence.  Will he be a web designer or Walmart greeter, magnate or Marine?

Our eldest is on his way to a degree from either the local university or the college of hard knocks.  Plenty of tough choices.  We're confident he will do the right thing, probably after exhausting all other options.

Decorating DivaLiz is constantly on the run.  A gig with the local utility company gives her a chance to get yelled at by customers in English and Spanish.  Household projects consume enough leisure time to make it unleisurely.  Not to worry, an hour or two playing Destructomatch helps her decompress.

Lloyd the dog is enjoying his elder years.  His time is divided between extreme relaxing, power napping, stretching, yawning and the occasional feline harassment.  At his age the cats need to be really slow.
